Ensuring the Future of Human Spaceflight is Oklahoman
SpaceOkies is a club of human spaceflight professionals from the great state of Oklahoma, who are focused in giving back to the education system in our home state that shaped us. We love what we do and where we came from. We believe that if a child can see it, they can be it and, by sharing our passion for our careers in human spaceflight with school children in Oklahoma, we can inspire the future generations of space exploration to be Oklahoman.
What We Do
We believe that if a child can see themselves in a profession, that they are more likely to consider pursuing that profession. The primary goal of SpaceOkies is to ensure every child in the Oklahoma education system has the opportunities to see themselves in the future of human space flight through exposure to Oklahomans currently working in human space flight. It is our hope that by forming our club that we can better arrange opportunities to get a SpaceOkie in the classrooms, STEM fairs, and educational clubs/organization meetings.
